CHAMPS After School Program

The CHAMPS After School Program meets every Monday - Thursday.  Students receive a snack and academic tutoring/homework help in all subjects during the first session from 3:45 - 5:15.  The second session, from 5:15 until 6:30, is an enrichment program with a wide variety of activities.  So far the students have had a self-defense lesson from black belts in Tae Kwon Do, used a digitial camera, participated in drama activities with guest speakers, played games, gone for walks, and more. 

The students recently completed a community service project, making Thanksgiving cards on computers for nursing home residents. 

Many activities are planned for the remainder of the year, including arts and crafts, sports, drama, and field trips. 

There will be several extra Saturday sessions for academic tutoring to help students pass end-of-course tests.

TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED.
