Bio

John Farmer, better know as Coach Farmer, attended Hiram High School in Hiram, Ga from 2001-2005. He was a member of the 2005 Graduating Class. During his high school career, Coach Farmer participated in Football and Track & Field. Upon graduation, he enrolled at the University of West Georgia. He spent three years there before transferring to Kennesaw State University. He graduated Cum Laude from Kennesaw State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education. Go Owls!!!!!!!

Coach Farmer's Teaching Career started as a ESEP Paraprofessional at Herschel Jones Middle School. He left teaching for one year to go work in corporate america. This is his 3rd year teaching here at DCHS.

Coach Farmer is entering his 11th year of coaching high school athletics. He spent 8 years coaching at Hiram High School coaching Football, Baseball, and Track. He is entering his 2nd year of coaching here at Douglas County. He currently coaches football and baseball as an assistant. He was formerly the Head Boys Soccer Coach. He was announced the Head Baseball Coach in June of 2016.

Coach Farmer is married to Katia Farmer (Morris) of Hiram, GA. He welcomed a new baby girl (Aryanna Lynn Farmer) on July 31st, 2015.
