Associates Degree in Data Processing from Kennesaw College (1983)

I was born in Marietta, Georgia, the eldest of three children. As a teenager, my family moved to Hartwell, Georgia and subsequently to Bellevue, Washington where I graduated from Sammamish High School. Soon after my high school graduation, my family moved back to Marietta where I attended Kennesaw College (now Kennesaw State University). I received an Associates Degree in Data Processing in 1983 and started working in the Information Technology sector where I’ve spent almost 35 years working primarily in programming and quality analyst roles. While I found the IT sector fulfilling professionally, I’ve always had a strong desire to teach. I returned to KSU in 2005 and, in 2009, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education – Mathematics.

I live in Douglasville, Georgia with my wonderful bride of five years, Indrea. We have two daughters, Danielle and Marissa, and a dog named Pancake. I enjoy traveling and sports, particularly baseball, football, and horse racing.

It is a tremendous honor and privilege be part of the Tiger family and to have the opportunity to begin my teaching career with the wonderful students and staff at Douglas County High School.
