I was born in Marietta, Georgia, which is where I spent the first 20 years of my life. I attended Campbell High School but graduated from Oakwood High School, both are schools in the Cobb County School system. At the age of 20 I moved to Carrollton, Georgia where I studied at the University of West Georgia. I graduated from UWG in 1999 with a B.A. in French and Philosophy. After I finished undergrad, I immediately entered UWG’s graduate program and began teaching in Douglas County at the same time. I received my M.Ed. in second language acquisition in 2003.  During my time in both undergrad and graduate school, I spent four summers studying at L’Institut de Touraine in Tours, France. I really love Europe and I would definitely like to live there one day.

I have now been teaching in Douglas County for 13 years. I still live in Carrollton with my wife, who is also a Teacher here at DCHS, and my two sons. This is my fifth year at Douglas County High School and I am really looking forward to it!
