I graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Advertising.  I completed my middle grades teaching certification in math and english from the Univeristy of West Georgia in August of 1997.  I went back to West Georgia to complete my Master's Degree in Media and Technology and graduated in May of 2006.  I am currently working toward my Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University.

I was born and raised in Douglas County.  I attended Winston Elementary, Fairplay Middle and graduated from Alexander High School.  I then left Douglasville for 12 years.  During that time I went to college in Athens at the University of Georgia.  I did an intership at EDS in Plano, Texas.  I have also lived in Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, and even spent three years living in Germany.  I have five wonderful children who keep me very busy.
